Fourth seaport of national importance
Thanks to the presence of all modes of transport – water, road, rail and tube – Port of Moerdijk offers companies great flexibility to transport goods into Europe via Moerdijk. Moerdijk focuses on shortsea and has a growing number of connections.
Second container port in the Netherlands
Moerdijk has been designated as a core port in the Trans European Transport Network (TENt). Moerdijk is the most inland port in the Netherlands with a direct connection to the sea. It takes less than four hours to sail to Rotterdam via the Dordtse Kil, Oude Maas and Nieuwe Waterweg, and then you quickly reach the open sea.
Aanmelden en communicatie
Traffic guidance starts from 'Maas aanloop', approximately 35 miles outside the mouth of the Port of Rotterdam. Always listen to the VHF channel of the sector you are in. Make sure all communications are short and concise. Always report deviations from the normal navigation procedure and/or defects in the ship's equipment.

- Monday evening from 19:00 to 22:00 hrs
- Thursday evening from 7:00 to 22:00 hrs
The 'Zeemanshuis' has WiFi, a bar and a little shop.
